The Genesis: For the first 18 years of David's life, his musical forays were limited to singing along to 80's rock and refining his chops on "Le guitar du air." Reaching university, he found a broken arm (of a close friend) led to his first guitar (on loan). As he began picking out a riff here and there from WBRU-Providence's alt-rock playlist, he realized the guitar was his friend. Two years later, studying abroad in the UK, he found the satisfaction from pouring his thoughts into original songs. From there, little stood in the way of his efforts to write the perfect melodic rock song. While he hasn't quite made it yet, his prodigious writing translates thoughts of love, work, politics, and driving into Chance's material.
