Story Behind The
Song |
|
Trees falling on his soul, he's wandering round alone, no comfort cold and solitary A rain starts pouring down, the pain that makes him drown, stunts his path again Resembling the gray, embracing rainy days, he thinks it all he can expect Blame dominates his soul, assuming no control, over the path he follows… Unforgiven, he holds it all against himself Keeps reliving, that night when they went down Continue worried tale, unhappiness prevails, nothing to make him smile again All the sounds of darkness come, while his actions left undone, he stands in solitary Unforgiven, he holds it all against himself Keeps reliving, that night when they went down It's not something someone has done It's the inability to shine again It's so sad to watch this star burn out It's all but over, but over again Train wreck disturbed his fate, he lost his lifetime mate, believes it's all his fault If he had gone to her, this would not have occurred, and she'd be smiling still in life Unforgiven, he holds it all against himself Keeps reliving, that night when they went down It's not something someone has done It's the inability to shine again It's so sad to watch this star burn out It's all but over, but over again It's not something someone has done It's the inability to shine again It's so sad to watch this star burn out It's all but over, but over again Copyright 2001 LHH songs |
Not the happiest of songs I admit, but it's trying to get at
a tendency to blame ourselves for actions that are out of our control, as does the main character in this song.
It's a hard thing to accept that sometimes bad things happen in spite of our best intentions. This character needed someone to help him understand that... |
